What supplements should I give my kids for winter?
Gosh do we have a lot of options and as I'm sure you are aware there is always more than one way to skin a possum!
However if your floundering among the options and need some guidance here are my favorite options ..
Babies to toddlerhood 0-2yrs
Prevention: Harker for kids Immune Build liquid $25, Ethical Nutrients Inner Health Probiotic powder for kids $35.
Treatment: Kiwiherb kids echinature liquid $38 or Harker Childrens chest/ear nose throat or tummy soothe depending on infection $25.
Children 2-14
Prevention: Sanderson Zoo animals $19.90, (a vitamin C which could be a chewable or a powder) good options could be ethical nutritents C powder $27.50, sanderson fruit salad chewable C $18.90. Harker Immune Build liquid $25, Ethical Nutrients Inner Health Probiotic powder for kids $35 (or a capsule if they are older).
Treatment: Vitamin C in a really decent dose (ask us instore depending on age), Echinature drops from Thompons if it can be hidden or they are brave $24.50, Harker Childrens chest/ear nose throat or tummy soothe depending on infection $25 all taste good too. Ethical nutrients immune build probioitc $35.
Once again we have tonnes of options because everyone likes or tends to find something different that works for them!
Definitely read labels and check there are good doses of each ingredient. Some of the children's supplements can be very inclined to focus on tasting the best and not achieving results!
Don't forget diet is sooooo important and children can be so tough sometimes. Good protein (meat, eggs, dairy, legumes etc) , green leafy veges and variety are essential for strong little immune systems
