Lambing & Tailing Anti-cramp, Energy Balls

Also great for ...

Anyone wanting extra energy

Growing busy children or children with growing pains and cramp

Healthy snack for work or on the go

A great method for silently dosing up unwilling supplement takers with a decent dose of highly absorbable magnesium, b vitamins and protein.

And I can honesty say I think they taste really good and can pass as a genuine tasty wee truffle. Also took me 20 mins to make. Would freeze really well and then you could just whip them out in wee batches.

I never panic if I'm missing an ingredient I'm a queen of swap outs so do not worry try something similar and see how they go.

  • Food processor or if your a bit fancy a vitamix is great

  • 1 cup medjool dates (I'm pretty sure our instore papaya and lime, raisins, sultanas, cranberries or ginger would all be great options too) shop now

  • 1 cup nuts (whatever you have. I had some cashews and some walnuts)

  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup cacao powder (instore) (the fancy organic one is nicer, nutrient wise but I've thrown in homebrand today because I have it on hand)

  • 1/3 cup of melted coconut oil (instore)

  • 1/3 cup shredded coconut

  • Pinch of sea salt (instore)

  • 1 Tbsp chia gel (made by mixing 2 tsp chia seeds with 2 Tbsp of water to form a gel) (instore)

  • 4 scoops of practitioner only Energyx (accessed by booking an appointment with Lena) or ethical nutrients magnesium powder. Shop now

  • 4 Dessertspoons of chocolate protein powder (plant based could be vital protein or red8 or Natava for a dairy one) shop now.

  • Optional superfood (I had some guana powder on hand but a greens, berry or maca powder could be nice too. (2 Dsp)

  • 2 Dsp organic, dark maple syrup (I'm a sweet tooth so I liked this but you could certainly leave this out) (available instore just bring in a bottle and we will fill it up)

Throw everything in the food processor and hit blend.

Blend till it forms a nice mouldable dough and then form into balls, roll in coconut and set in the fridge or freezer and eat.

I found I got about 20 balls which would mean 2 balls would equate to about a 1/2 scoop of magnesium which would be a therapeutic dose.
